How it works Using a combination of 3 configuration files it's setup simply as so. Rates - Sets a few console commands to the Recommended rates for Broadband internet (the default ones are complete garbage) and you will see a vast improvement in shot registration and lag. The Screenshot Problem - Autoexec fixes the screenshot problem, by setting mat_queue_mode to -1 (default), then takes the screenshot, and then instantly after wards setting mat_queue_mode to 2 (Dual Core Optimization). Thus keeping dual core support enabled and your screenshots come out crystal clear.
You may experience a slight FPS drop when you hit F5, but only for like 3ms. Dual Core Support - Enables a few Console commands to run the game on both Cores of your processor more efficiently. Your CPU may run a little hotter, but only by a degree or so. Alt-Tabbing Problem - The instant you press Alt to alt-tab the mat_queue_mode is set to -1 and remains there. When you're done with your business and alt-tab back in, the mat_queue_mode will still be set to -1. PLEASE READ!!!!!!! ---> So to enable your Dual Core support again you must hit the '.'
Or the 'del' key on your keypad. You must do this everytime you alt-tab unless you wish to continue without the dual core support. Basically when you alt-tab a certain dual core command is defaulted to single-core (preventing the crash) and when you alt-tab back in, you must re-enable the dual core support by hitting the kp_del key. Posted by teh_masterer Could you please upload the file somewhere else? I've been trying for the past few days and filefront seem to have lost the file. Thank you for letting me know of this issue.
I'm at my college campus right now, tonight when I get home (7 hours from now) i'll re-upload it and I'mm message you personally to let you know that it's fixed so you can download it. I might tweak it a bit as well as I do believe they added dual-core support, where as my tweak pack added it through a script. If that's the case, then you can just copy the first part with the cl_ commands. It's just the first section you need for the rates. Each section is signified by a '//' (which is a comment in C++) //title, so the section you'd need to copy and paste into notepad is: RATES, then you would simply have to save it in or as autoexec.cfg and put it into the dod folder. Posted by Bi0h4z4rd I'm going to give this a 10 because I cant find anything wrong with it:) Also did you make the alt tab tweak, that does not mess up your game when you tab out?
